A few settings determine weither data values for a variable should be logged into the time-series database (TSDB) or not. By default they are all set to enable logging.

  • Field Active in the OPC UA Server node settings dialog window should be checked. This dialog window can be opened by selecting server’s node in the Address Space panel and clicking on Edit button.

  • Setting in the column Log to TSDB of the Logged Variables table should be checked.

For those variables for which all these conditions met, ogamma Visual Logger for OPC creates subscriptions and monitored items on OPC UA Server, and writes received data changes to the TSDB.
